North West Queensland Indigenous Catholic Social Services Limited is a not-for-profit organisation that provides direct relief and support to the region's Indigenous people through innovative and sustainable programs and activities.
At Brilla Brilla Brilla Neighbourhood Centre, we are dedicated to fostering a sense of connection, belonging, participation, and inclusion. Our centre is a vibrant hub where community members come together to share, support, and thrive. Join us in creating a space where everyone feels at home, engaged, and valued.
This Service involves the provision of supervised activities for children up to school age at the Brilla Brilla centre (Playgroup). Department of Education, early childhood through Nquthati Children & Family Centre, has funded the playgroup.
The CSS programme provides services to the Yallambee community in the areas of information, advice and referral; community living support; community / cultural group development and support; and service/sector support and development.
It also assist community of need in Mount Isa to provide information, advice and referral.
Funding provider: Department of Treaty, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Partnerships, Communities and the Arts.
Funded service activities: Formal and Informal Support, Events, projects and Emergency Relief.
Program and activities offered: Family support, Playgroup, Parenting and Relationship Programs, Support for Government Appointments, Employment Assistance, Healthcare Access, Nutritional Support and Transport Solutions.
Facilities available: Breakfast, School lunches, Food Support, photocopier.
