The Centre (which was taken over by Good Shepherd Parish and ultimately NWQICSS in April 2006) provides a regular, face to face service for families, individuals and community groups in Boulia and surrounding areas.
BNC aims to identify areas of need in the community and proactively put in place measures to address the issues. It brokers and facilitates support and services for individuals and families on an as needs basis through a professional and confidential case management approach.
The Service works collaboratively with other established services, providing information and referrals to its clients. It also hosts visiting agencies in Boulia. The BNC is funded by the Department of Communities.

North West Queensland Indigenous Catholic Social Services acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we provide our services and their connections to Land, Water and Community. We pay our respect to their Elders, past, present and emerging. We also extend our respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people that live within the areas we operate. We recognise the contributions of all Indigenous and non-Indigenous people in working together to develop an enriched appreciation of cultural heritage we have here in Australia – A country which we all share and live in together.
